So i got my M&W Pro-10 kit from t1. I installed it on the car and im having alittle problem. The first problem is everytime i activate 2-step,the rpms drop all the way to 0 but the car will stay idle then when i let go the rpms will go up and come back down. It will not start popping and building boost. Its really weird. Also when i turn power on, my tach goes from 0 to pegging the tach back and forth until the car is started. The car starts and idles fine.
The tach is driven by the Pro 10 instead of the igniter now, but should still function the same as it did with the igniter. Cutting the signal to the ignitor should do the same thing as cutting the signal to the Pro 10.
I can't tell by your description, is it just the tach acting weird, or is the tach doing what the engine is doing and the engine is acting weird?
Is this a stock tach?

I know this is kind of thread jacking but Tony, if you dont mind, can u please tell me what the job of the igniter is and why the M&W box is needed? Im well aware of how to wire it in but not too sure why it does its job so well. Theres almost no install/info about the M&W box anywhere on the internet.....

The reason your rpm drops to 0 on the ectune 2 step is because it's cutting the igniter signal. The igniter signal is how the Pro 10 determines RPM. Without it, it can't drive the tach. It's only a problem with ectune and an ign cut. If you can change it to fuel cut, it'll change the tach issue.
At the end of the day, it's really nothing to worry about.
Teglove, think of the igniter as a type of relay for the ign system, so the output of the ecu isn't driving a big load.
