Yeah, there are a few of us on this board doing this, but honestly I'd spend the money else where, like sleeves. Reliability...depends on how you drive and what kind of power you're shooting for.

Re: lsvtec turbo? (b18bpwr)
I run LS/VTEC turbo on my hatchback, but the shortblock has JE pistons and Crower rods in it, with an STR blockguard. Also use ARP head studs and a GSR oil pump. I've had problems with the head lifting, but I think I got it taken care of. The car feels really torquey even at low boost. On the street, it will break tires loose on boost when VTEC hits in the first 4 gears. Almost dangerous to drive.
I have heard that LS/VTECs can't be revved high. I go up to 7800rpms, 8K max.
Friend of mine had a stock LS/VTEC with turbo, and he was cracking high 11's/low 12's in a hatchback.
I think stock sleeves only go with agressive or improper tuning. If it's a street car, stock sleeves should be fine.

Are you using a modified gsr or z10 block girdle? I'm working out the bugs in my ls/vtec and am waiting for the max rev turbo to get here. I have a very similar setup: Endyn rods, pistons, valves, gsr girdle, head studs, etc. How often (and for how long) and at what psi are going to 8k? I have an aluminum flywheel and would like as much time to stay in gear (boost) as is long as reasonably possible. However I'm concerned I'll crack a sleeve at 12 psi or so. Of course I don't plan on driving like I stole it ALL the time.

Re: lsvtec turbo? (AzN_Flava)
By "almost dangerous to drive", I'm trying to say that it demands a lot of attention when you're on boost (really powerful). I'm running somewhat low boost (9.5psi), and the car is all over the road. Forget about full throttle on a turn in any of the first 4 gears. The car keeps going straight.... and if you're going straight, say like accelerating hard, the car has crazy torque steer. Sometimes it catchs you off guard, and the car will switch lanes.
As far as reliability, I'm not having problems. Good luck if you do this setup
