Default LSVtec Q's (searched)

I am getting ready to turn my LS-T into LSVTEC turbo. What kind of headgasket should I use will OEM be good or should I get a thicker headgasket if so what brand and were can I get them. Also the guy I am getting the head (b16a) off of has GSR cams should I use them or will there be problems with the lift with these cams. Has anyone used blocksgaurds on LSvtec motors which ones work great and which ones suck a$$. Thanks for the help any other info would be great.

Well first, what do you want your compression ratio to be? Second, there is a great write up on the LS/Vtec and all the parts you will need over at http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...&t=11, this should tell you which parts to use from what.

I would use the gsr cams in your b16 head. The gsr cams do wonders on boost. Block guards are ok ,but i prefer sleeving.
