B16a cams in GSR head LS/vtec
Hi, I found a good deal on a GSR head but it has no cams/gears, intake manifold, fuel injectors etc. one of my friends has a B16a1 he is building for boost and he is willing to give me his B16 cams/gears and intake manifold, so my question is; will b16a1 cams work in a GSR head? will they help HP at all? what are the advantages and disadvantages when useing these cams in this head? I will be swaping the gsr head on my b18a making it ls/vtec and run it all motor for a few months but then I plan to turbo it, are b16 cams any better all motor or turbo? thank you
The B16 cams and GSR cams are nearly identical. GSR cams of course are better for boost. But honesly, you will not even notice a difference between the two. So just take the cams and put it together, and upgrade to ITR/CTR or later on depending on your future route.
