Lsv turbo
Hwy guys I have a built lsv turbo that I'm aiming for mid 400s. It's got eagle rods wiseco pistons 900cc injectors 255 walboro and a ram horn manifold b16 head with gsr cas and adj cam gears. Question is i have a gt35r at the moment I know this turbo is a bit big for my goal so I'm wondering what should I go with I've been told a 5858 gt30r or a 6262. I'm looking for somthing thata got a nice power band through mid and high rpms I don't plan on going past 8250 rpms. Id like to make 11s in the 1/4 this car will be a weekend kind of car that will be driven to the strip. I plan on using 93 Oct with meth injection.

Re: Lsv turbo
The 6262 is an 800hp turbocharger. Entirely too big for 400hp, literally twice as big as what's needed. I don't understand why the average Honda owner is afraid of running a properly sized turbocharger at high boost pressures (20-25psi+) to have a decent power band but they'll run a turbocharger literally twice as big as they need at crazy low boost pressures and end up with an overly laggy setup that sucks to drive and think that it's an acceptable setup and it's "fast"
You could run something as simple and proven as a 50 trim T3/T04E and get into the low 400s but you'd need a bigger turbo if you ever wanted more power as mid 400s is about all it will do.
The 5858 would be a decent choice but given Precisions track record with failures, especially in the Honda community, I would steer clear but that's my personal opinion
Other popular options that will get you into the mid 400s and possibly support more power down the road are the gt2871r, gt3071r, gt3076r, gtx2863r, and the gtx2867r. Those are just the Garrett options. You also have Turbonetics, Comp, and BorgWarner.
Ultimately it depends on your budget.

Re: Lsv turbo
Ya I did the compressor maps math last not on just the gt35r I have amd a ball park it wouldn't make 20 psi till about 4800 rpms. And that would produce 390. I'm debating on a gt30r. But I can't really tell hoe the power will come on if it will pull hard or slowly build up. I know gt30r are recommened for my power level. I'd like to have a power band more mid to high rpms rather then low and mid rpms. I do plan on running meth injection along with boost by gear to help traction. I do not have access to e85 so 93 oct is the way.
