Whats everyone using for trannys?
3 options im looking over:
LS
GSR- w/ LS 5th
B16- w/ LS 5th
Does it depend on plans for car?
Is stock LS too low for good drag results?

Anybody know the cam cap torque sequence? I just put crower 403s on my ls and when puting the cams/caps on do I start in the middle and work my way out?

Just slowly tighten them all down 2 or 3 turns at a time... I dont really remember there being a sequence.

Im running a gsr transmission with LS final drive and LS 5th gear, love my gears !

I was just gonna go LS as itll be more of a weekend toy, but ill try this instead.
What do you trap out in 4th with that setup?

Well I'm vtec so around 9200rpm I'm just over 140mph
There is no specific sequence for cam cams but I generally start in middle and work my way out. For an ls head 7-8 ftlbs is the spec. It feels loose but don't try to go tighter as your going to snap the bolt or strip the threads

question:
i can count on one hand how many times i've gone 100% throttle and every time i've ran into the same problem...when i shift there's a momentary pause and then the throttle kicks in. only happens under 100% throttle and it happens every time. i'm stomped

are you falling out of boost during shifts? or are the Rpms Droping really low?

Sounds like tps wires are backwards. When your going 100% it's reading 0 % thus cutting off all fuel

Sup squad so I made up my mind to use one of the many vtec heads I got to go ls vtec turbo. Now I know most will not like that but I wanna see what I can put down bone stock block with arp headstuds..
And no I'm not buying any new parts , these are currently parts I have in my possession..
Here's what I'll be using on a stock ls block
Stock B16 head
with either itr, b16 or gsr valvetrain
blox manifold with str 68mm tb port matched
bosh id 1000 injectors
itr cams or just gsr cams
lsvtec kit
arp headstuds
str cam seal
along with a gsr tranny with ls 5th and final drive 8 or 10lb flywheel with Clutch masters Clutch stage 3 or 4 with quaife lsd and cf sychros
and everything else from my ls turbo setup. Will be re used from my ls turbo setup.. Im hoping to get around 350 or more with a safe dyno on the s300 and when every I get tired of this ill pull it out and sell it and throw in the built motor.. Most ill be paying is 150 to have this installed and cost to hot tank the head and make sure the head is mint with no cracks or anything..
What do you guys think?

hey I need a new muffler for my ls turbo. I have a 2000 civic si tuned on 15 psi with a built motor. I need something that is around $200 that will give me good performance. Any suggestions? Thanks

do a compression test sounds like it could be rings or head gasket? is ur car over heating ?
