What's up everyone, I've read a few posts on this thread here and there and just wanted to ask a few questions. I have a 96 hatch with a b18 boosted, je 81mm pistons, eagle rods and head studs. Had some crower cams and some super tech valve springs and retainers put in. Precision 5857 journal bearing with ID 1000 on e85, old skunk2 intake manifold with a 70mm throttle body. Inline pro log manifold 3" exhaust. Made around 350 to the wheels on about 23 pounds. Kinda expected more honestly but I'd say the tune is conservative. Have almost 3000 miles on it since it was boosted and tuned. I really thought I would have made around 400 but not sure if it's the log manifold and old skunk2 intake manifold holding the car back a bit. Was thinking of going with some type of ram horn manifold but was stuck on what type of intake manifold would be better if any noticeable gains over what I have now. So it being 2018 what intake manifolds are the best choice. Not sure if Skunk2 ultra is only offered for Vtec heads or at least that's what I saw with a quick search. Do you guys think I'm right at where the car is supposed to make based on my setup or should I be seeing slightly higher numbers? Not sure if the dyno was one of those heartbreaking dynos lol. Anything else I should look into or should I try maxing out the turbo to see what it has? Reliability is a big factor so I may end up just sucking it up and enjoying what I have, and the engine is not sleeved so I know 400-450 would be my limit if I am able to get more power out of it.

That was my goal all along to make 600whp since i dont know of many people that push the LS that far, it can make more with better cams a bigger turbo and a better intake manifold, twin disc clutch and it could break 700whp easily.. but i am staying at 600whp for a while.. 700whp means i will need alot mlre stuff to reach that..

Shodan this one is for you what do you think . I am in some kind of indecision 6466 t3 .82ar or 1.15 t4 divided. Looking for 850whp. No more street racing for me. Will focus now on the 1/4 mile. If .82 I will stay with the ram horn if 1.15 i will switch to a sheepey divided front mount.

For that size you're looking at, why limit to only those two sizes? A .84 T4 divided in a kooks will do fine for 850whp.

Going front-facing does nothing but cause oiling issues, and unnecessarily destroyed turbochargers. Don't go that route, unlike you have several turbo replacements handy.

Might change to a top mount not enough capital for broken turbos. Anyways I ordered the turbo last week .82 t3 but since I am going to change the turbo manifold might as well optimize things. So do you think the divided t4 .84 housing will carry the power to at least 9500(obviously with a good head combination) because i know the spool is going to be improved.

Spool won't be improved, just higher output. Don't let the divided housing full you. Plus, going top mount destroys any possibility of using the word "spool" ever again.

Just drag race the car. Spool won't have anything to do with what you're doing anyway

The 402T will drive like a stock car out of boost and makes some good gains over stock. 404s drive pretty well and make great power for non vtec, but you'll notice the difference put putting around. 405s are strictly race cams IMO. Havent seen many turbo builds with them.

Hi guys, from the other side of the world australia..... Just boosted my B18 LS.... stock engine and intake... on the dyna pack hub we made 263hp @ 14.5psi....

Does seem kinda low when compared to similar builds, but than again the engine was high im the milage 165000 miles, so its tuned conservatively id say

Would a better intake make a difference? Skunk2 TB with Pro series intake

Mods
Pfab Manifold
Turbosmart compgate 45mm
Garrett T04 60-1 0.63 AR
Fmic
bosch 630cc
Neptune RTP

walbro 255
CC stage 3 Clutch and Fly

Exactly. with that exhaust wheel being the same as the older t3/t04e, you're on par.

Adding to that. I do think the compressor wheel is too large for the B18B in stock trim, but otherwise, you're good.
