ls/vtec vtec not working help

Default ls/vtec vtec not working help

hey thanks for anyone that can help. went to the dyno today and found out vtec is not working. they told me
the wiring is good and correct
vtec solenoid clicks when 12 volts apllied
there is oil pressure goin to the head

what could the problem be? if any one can help it would be great

What oil pump did you use? How is it supplied...head/turbo/etc.?

Had the same thing happen to myself. I was getting oil pressure but not enough. My line going to the head and the thread were to small. After I got the GE ls/vtec kit . vtec kicked in strong and loud

What size oil line is feeding the head?

There is your problem. Your's line is to small. Up it to -6an and you'll be fine. You're not the first to have this prob pop up.

im still goin to pick the head apart tomarrow make sure everything is in place where it surpose to be thanks for the help though

-6an is what you need. That is the size of the GE one. Try the bigger line then you can take the head apart. Save yourself some trouble
