sorry man but i dont want or need to join the "everyone in the world has a turbo civic" club.......if you like turbo thats cool i think they run awesome. BUT I DONT WANT A TURBO im going vortech because thats what i want i dont care whether people like my car or not and i dont care if its not as fast as turbo and i dont care if i pay more money to be slower. i want my car to be the way i want it to be not the way you or anyone else wants it .....................

btw thanks to everyone for posting absolutely no answers to my question and flaming me for being an individual and not what everyone else does

HATERS </TD></TR></TABLE>

You're trying to lecture us on being original?

You do remember that you drive a honda, right? Putting a shitty blower under the hood isn't going to make your car "stand out" or be cool or anything like that. Besides, you said this is your WORK CAR to take to WORK, so why should you care about being different, don't you want the best powerband to drive your car to work?

I give up.

"What are vortech's like, but don't tell me they arn't very good or i'll call you all haters and get all pouty."

No one is hating your being ignorant, we are trying to help, I wanted a blower on my b18b but Then reality hit, why should I spend a bunch of money and get jack **** in return? it doesnt make sense.

Original is cool but your trying to reinvent the wheel, other people have learned from mistakes Heed their warnings or you will come back Crying $$$ and no HP

Good luck either way

EDIT
If you wanna be original do something original dont ask us for advice then spit **** back when we give you advice. Learn from the people who have done it in the past.

i now know these facts thhanks to honda tech:
1. turbo or bust!!!!!!
2. vortech = not cool
3. I am never going to be cool
4. there is no tech in the forced induction section of honda-tech!!!!!!!!!!!! (unless you are cool enough to run a turbo)

thanks for the help and have fun with your turbo civics. i will be the slow loser in the slow lane.

No one is trying to bust your bubble or whatever man, its just that it really doesnt make any sense why to SC.... Its harder on the engine (crank) and doesnt make as much power. Its just almost a case of common sense. We are just trying to see if you realize that you dont have to spend so much money on a blower thats just gonna cause more wear and tear on the engine and at the same time cost more and not give you the power. DIY turbo setup you can do just piece it together for about $1500, get good deals and then just get it tuned to perfection and call it a day... I dunno, who cares really, just trying to help you save money and make more power thats all, no one cares if you are like us all anyway

the votech kit hes getting comes rebuilt from vortech, p28 chipped ecu with hondata. 440cc injectors and some other stuff too for $1300

i dont think its a bad price for a little boost in power. Like he said before he just wants a little boost nothing major.

$1300 is not bad at all for a whole setup, so yeah why not slap it on, its gonna do some hurting tho to that crank.... its a daily?

haha your a retard, you comparing a tacoma to an integra? you admit you dont know very much about these, but yet u still talk out of your ***.

i just put a vortech s/c on my 01 integra, let me tell you its a world of difference. i guarantee you would not "burn" me in your stock ls

y dont you guys just let him put it on if thats what he wants.

my setup is only meant to boost 7 lbs, and it pretty damn quick, maybe not as fast as a turbo, but for a daily driver its not a bad idea. plus i kept my a/c ( that was a must for me, i live in phoenix)

btw i only paid 1900 bucks for a brand new in box kit

You're thinking of a roots blower, which gives you instant boost response when you mash the throttle. A vortech is the opposite, virtually no low end boost and it builds exponentially with RPM's.
