Default ls/vtec turbo HELP!!!

i just decided to go ls/vtec turbo instead of ls turbo and was wondering if i could use the cp pistons that were ment for a stock ls head or not. im wanting to get a mild build on the stock ls block and a friend of mine is selling a set of cp pistons and eagle rods but they are for a ls block with ls head. my question is would that change the CR enough to where it would hurt me and slow me down since im using a vtec head or would it not matter? he is selling them to me for a pretty good price so i was wondering if i should get them or not. does it matter?

oh here the compressionon the cp pistons for the ls long block is 9:1
if i put on a b16 head will it raise the compression to 10?

cliff note:
are cp pistons that were ment for a ls long block ok to use in a ls/vtec build? would it raise the compression from 9:1 to ten

lower compression if you do ls/vtec and the pistons should be ok no matter the head...

I'm not sure by how much but assuming your using the stock pistons I remember reading which you should be doing too... that when doing an ls/vtec your compression is reduced

You will be fine using those pistons. It will raise the compression ratio but not by a whole lot. You will be around 10:1 give or take which is still fine for a turbo engine.

the combustion chamber difference between the ls head and the b16 head is 2.3cc which isnt gana up the compression by 1 point...itl be around 9.3:1 which is perfect for turbo application
