LS/Vtec turbo?

LS/Vtec turbo?
Right now I have a LS motor with a B16 tranny in a CRX. My original plans were to go LS/Vtec. But now I want turbo. Would it be good to just throw a VTEC head on my LS block with the LS pistons and turbo that? Would the B16 tranny be good enough? or should I buy an LS tranny?
