LS/VTEC TURBO??
sup guys... im seriously thinkin about going LS/VTEC turbo now. i already got the LS turbocharged... but after reading some articles and watching a few LS/VTEC crxs and integs blow the doors off some turbo'd cars... it makes me wonder the power potential in these setups. of course im going to look into a shop that will install it to be reliable... but im just wondering if any of you can give me some fresh insight on this setup or any experience you may have. thanks.

Re: LS/VTEC TURBO?? (stick)
He went 12.40 in it at only 7-8psi. The car hauls butt. I cant catch him on the street to save my life. They can be great set-ups, But they can be un-reliable due to the horrid rod/stroke ratio. The rods dont like to see the abuse of the high revving rpms of v-tec. Also the LS blocks lack the superior oiling system of the vtec blocks. If you plan on going LS VTEC/Turbo I would have to also suggest forged pistons and rods.

A factor to consider: Its not cheap (when doing it the right way)...
Don't skip any corners, blueprint-forge-balance-all that stuff. Sleeves aren't a bad idea either.
All about the LSVTEC TURBO. Butt-OH-meter says its strong!

Re: LS/VTEC TURBO?? (newsense)
i like it alot, better than i thought i would.
the brakes and shifter doesnt compare to my GSR which is still stock but its close.
overall its great. i cant wait to start modifying it. getting a mbc, up pipe, and I/C hoses soon and will be pushing close to 200awhp all for under $500.
once my GSR is on the road, got OE LSD and ITR gearing waiting for it to be installed.
too bad i cant afford a hatch right now

Re: LS/VTEC TURBO?? (stick)
My hatch is LS/VTEC turbo, with JE pistons and Crower rods, and it's pretty reliable. Haven't pushed it to high boost, but at 9.5psi, I was able to crack 11.4's at 118.8MPH, street trim, other than slicks.
