Slow down bro take a breath and word this right...
How did u put the belt on what sequence?
How is the tensioner? Is it on backwards?
Did you set the timing and turn the engine over 6 revoloutions before starting? How much was the timing off? Maybe you already bent a valve. Are you setting the crank to tdc using the timing gear to the oil pump cover? Or using the pulley and timing belt cover for refrence?
Is your head milled and block decked?

I got a feeling you dont know what your doing!! Here is the correct process to set the mechanical cams/crank timing.

Align the two cam marks with the up mark at the top , align the bottom crank mark, loosten up the adjuster bolt, install the belt over the cam gears with the exhaust side first, you might have to re-adjust the cam position slightly to get the belt to go on. Once the belt is on rotate the crankshaft counter-clockwise and move a total of three teeth on the cam gears...tighten the tensioner bolt. Then rotate the crankshaft 3 full revolutions and each time make sure your marks still line up.

now you can set the ignition timing with the timing light.

OP, you mention a timing light in the first post. mechanical timing and ignition timing are tow different things. if you are sure that the mechanical timing is correct then you need to go back and set the ignition timing (adjust the distributor) to get it back in spec.

make sure the mechanical timing is correct first.

then do the ignition

The full process is timing belt around the crank first, tensioner, waterpump, than exhaust cam, intake cam.

If he has it routed he should take it off and redo it the right way.

its not lazy its efficient! Why would you pull it all apart if you dont have to! Using the mark on the lower belt cover is just as accurate as the mark on the oil pump. remember its the same mark your going to use for the ignition timing or do you degree that over using a light because it takes longer?

Think my spark plug Are fried from when I did my timming so many time that was running RICH... I'm getting new one tomorrow and will see how it go and Ill post up how it dose!!!!

Take your plugs out and crank the engine over a couple times with the ecu either unplugged or the fuel pump off. Then retry it.

You still continue to relate mechanical timing with ignition timing. they are not related. Let's go one step at a time.

Step 1 - is the mechanical timing correct? If everything is lined up and he belt is on, turn the engine over by hand. Does everything stay lined up after a few revolutions?
