What kind of oil pump did you put in the motor? Have you check to make sure everything in the head is tightened??

^^you're gonna wanna change that stock ls oil pump ASAP, what year is the block??

If its a 1996+ block, then your oil pump will be fine as-is because they all come with P72 pumps... but if not, better change it QUICK, i had an LSvtec blow up on me in 5 days due to the pre-1996 stock ls oil pump being on there...

And all that extra noise you're hearing is most likely the head starving for oil. The pressure numbers could be correct, but the volume of oil actually being pumped could be not enough.
