LS/VTEC b18c1 - some questions
Hi
I ended up starting my LS/VTEC motor 2 days ago.

I did not connect the intercooler pipes yet, but it's almost finished.
I want to ask some questions if u dont mind.
1. Which sparks are best to use?
I have a GT3071R and I will boost around 15 psi.
2. Is spark cables so important or OEM-thick spark cables will do fine ? Should I change to aftermarket NGK ? Does it make any difference ?
3. The distributor is b18c1 OEM spec brand new. (aipelectronics)
Should I add external MSD coil ? or will it be fine?.
4. My radiator is Forged Racing 1,7" Thick with 3 cores. Is it completely enough u think or should I change to 2" thick KoyoRad ? Will it make any difference ?
5. The OEM radiator fan takes too much space. If I change to slim fan, will it still work good enough on hot days ? I live in south Turkey, which more like CA.
6. Is 38mm Wastegate enough ? I'll use the car at 5-6 psi for some time.
THANK YOU, Everyone..

1. ngk BKR-7E
2. The OEM cables are good, I like the NGK blues.
3. You will be fine with the OEM spec dizzy you have.
4. Your radiator is fine.
5. The slim fans usually produce more cfm and are a nice upgrade. A fan shroud helps as well along with a low-temp thermostat. Check out Go-Autoworks.com for cooling upgrades.
6. The 38mm wg will be fine. If you were to upgrade in the future you would have to change out your flange obviously.

Msd coils generate a higher and hotter spark than the factory coil. K&N or an AEM dryflow are both nice. BTW if you want a msd coil I have one for sale. $20 plus shipping.
