LS Turbo owners, how much $$ have you spent?
Just wondering how much it would cost, after the cost of the basic turbo kit and initial installation, to get it to run reliably daily at low boost, say 6 psi. This is part of my decision process btw going turbo or sc; it seems that while both cost the same at the start, going turbo will have more additional costs in parts... Though of course it is expected given the greater potential for power.
If I get a complete Drag 3 kit, Hondata S200 and gauges/turbo timer and have it tuned, will that be enough? Or would I HAVE to get a Block Guard, boost controller, missing link, J&S Safeguard etc...
TIA

2 billion dollars.....Muuahhaahaa!!!! No, I think it depends on if the shop you go to is corrupt and it comes down to if you were a bad person in your past life. That will determine if your car will live a healthy boosted life or die a horrible death!! I have gone Supercharger and Turbo and I think if you want to go back in time go turbo...If your happy here in 2002 go supercharger..

Seems like a lot of the guys here prefer the pieced together systems over the kits. With the kits you are forced into running very high fuel pressure using stock inectors. Kits also utilize check valves which are kinda cheesy. A lot of people end up replacing half of the "kit" eventuallly anyways, so why get one?
You're paying for all that stuff that you're not going to use with the hondata. Just piece it.

too much...
Drag 3 turbo, exhaust system, 290cc and 310 cc injectors, boost-egt-AF-guages, FMU re-cal kit, profec B, brakes, clutch, tires...etc.
I don't want to think about adding it all up.

I've spent about 10,000 dollars total on my forced induction setup. I had no idea that it would have costed me this much when i first bought the turbo kit.
