The guy was talking about the 18g which doesn't support huge HP numbers, so I based my answer on a lower powered car. The GSR tranny will have the advantage.

i dunno about this.... i think they put the redline at 6800 for a reason.

You do both those things and you have a motor that's more expensive than a GSR. Also, don't compare stock motors to modified ones, it's apples and oranges. I do agree that it's nice LS motors are much cheaper than gsr or type-r's, though.

ok port the head there goes the high flow advantage, upgrade the valve train there goes the redline plus if u blow a ls they are dirt cheap unlike a gsr motor
all these damn VTEC wars nobody on here can say that they like a ls setup more than the GSR without getting flamed by the VTEC guys</TD></TR></TABLE>

yes you can, and you didn't say that, you said b18b is better for boost, you didn't say you prefer it to a vtec motor, get ur head on stright

I looked at srp pistons and found 9.2 and 8.5 compression ratios. I was wondering what you guys thought on the comp ratio and what psi they would be able to handle(with eagle rods). Also i can buy a cheap greddy turbo with and 18g. I am not familiar with the 18g. What is its max psi. Can it handle around 15 easily? Let me know what you think.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I would go with 9.2 compression. The Greddy 18g is a great turbo, the only problem is the internal wastegate. If your boosting 15+, it will creep and spike. The 18g is a well balance turbo for fast spools and top end. You can make decent power with this turbo, I think the usual T04E compressor are too big sometimes.

Oops didn't read that. Both are great kits, I personally like Drag for the chrome piping . Rev-Hard has a better manifold though. Can't go wrong with either one.

u better have a tall *** tire if u plan to use a gsr tranny....If u go this route be prepared to run out of gear in the top end....this is from expierence btw...not from what I think will happen if u go w/ gsr...

The Drag kit is supposed to be lower quality but the power (with all things being equal) will be about the same.

hey I have a 92 integra ls that i rebuilt the motor and put a turbo on over the summer. I know this isn't the best setup but i will tell you what i have. I have all new stock interals asside from the crank it is the original crank. I had the head checked and redone. I am running a commet head gasket that drops the compression ratio to 8.5:1 and a nuformz block gard, with a ford t3 turbo, front mount ic, 330cc injectors out of a 89 ford probe gt "direct fit", apexi afc, walbarow 255lph in tank fuel pump, vortech FMU 8:1 ratio, act 6 puck clutch, tial wastgate and a turbo xs rfl blow off valve. i am running 13lbs on the motor now with no problems tuned on a wide-band o2 sensor and laptop. i have checked the compression every 2000 miles when i change the oil and it seems to be doing great. asside from all this i deliver pizza for papa johns i deliver in the car everyday although i do have a beater to drive when i have to work on the integra. at the local track (Bristol, Tn) i ran a 13.8 @ 104mph on 11lbs of boost. I have not ran the car on 13lbs at the track yet but i would guess that the car is putting down around 200-250 hp at the wheels. ok the point of this story.... b series motors are impressive even with stock interals and the only thing that will make you go faster in this game is MONEY... something i don't have a lot of i spent 4,000 dollars for the turbo setup and the cost of rebuilding the b18a1 stock.
