Default ls rod + bearing questions..

i'm building my ls bottom end, and i have a few questions..

i noticed on the stock rod, theres an oil hole on the big end to lubricate the walls. on the manley rods i have, theres no oil hole. so how does the wall get lubricated?

and my second question is, are using b16 bearings better than the ls? i hear the b16 ones are a little better for high rpm. but b16 bearings don't have the hole in the center like ls ones do.. so not sure which to use?

There will be no difference with or without the oil hole in the rod. There is plenty of 800+hp cars running manley rods without a prob.

As far as the bearings go. I really couldnt tell you. Never really thought about it myself. Always just used the bearings that were originally intalled in the motor.

B16 bearings will not fit LS rods. The tang is in a different spot. You will need to machine the rods to accept the tang on the bearings.

inspect your bearings for any wear. Should you see any scuffs, etc, you may need to get your crank micropolished and get new bearings. Should check the clearances, whether you're reusing your old bearings or new ones.
