Default LS/PR4 pistons in a B16?

k, does anyone think this is a bad idea or wont work? just trying to get some feed back here. the idea is that when i turbo my B16 that i will burn the ringlands off eventually, or that the rings will be bad to begin with (have a friend that this happened to him) so i should get new ring to 'freshen up' the engine. but if the compression is at 10.2:1 i will probly destroy them anyway, so i was thinking of putting the LS/PR4 pistons in (like a 9.2:1 in the LS motor) then it will be a little more detination resistan and i can boost more. am i making sence? hope so...

no im not going to buy forged pistons, SO DONT SUGGEST IT!!!

Why won't you get forged? If you don't mind me asking.
The compression will be lower than that. Think closer to 8.7:1 or something in that area. You'll also have combustion stabilty issues as your raise the boost higher

yeah i just realized compression will be 8.6:1 and i just dont want to spend the money on foged pistons right now. when i built a block it will get all that ****, just need insurance right now and i think that going to come with a second car

Why not just get a thicker head gasket it's cheaper.

I believe Earl carries them. Not sure I use a stocker with copper spray. I can't sell anything yet. No license. I will soon though.
