Default Ls Build help (first build)

Hey,

I have a stock ls(a1) Running 11psi good tune

Now I've never built a engine before, i got idea and looked up some parts, but i don't know what to do. I've boosted many cars and also blown up many cars
I've also heard, don't push more then 230whp on a ls stock.

What i need help on is basically i push in the right direction, but i want to keep the stock compression 9.2:1

I'm looking for a basic build for a decent amount of boost and whp
rods,head studs,bearings,and pistons
cams and other power adders will come later

What brands to get without braking the bank?

well the right direction differs for everybody due to 2 main factors money and power goals. So would this be a budget build and what power are you looking for. Also from what i have heard any healthy b series motor is reliable to 300whp but if this is ur DD then a few upgrades would def help the reliability and help you obtain your power goals with less boost.

Ok I got my set of Supertechs brand new in the box for super cheap. They are 9:1 81.5mm bore. If you go with a combo you may spend about $750 on a combo which aint bad. You cant really lose with any forged piston you get. Nippon is still like a cast LS piston. Not knocking them or anything. Rods for that power goal id get Eagle rods. ACL race or standard bearing which ever one that is needed when you plastigauge to find out clearances. And ARP everythign for the fastners.

Crower stage 1 N/A cams
forged rods of your choice
srp pistons are cheap goodness, nippon pistons are cheaper goodness

Bottom end will be solid and with the cams you will probably hit the power you are wanting without increasing your boost.
