Default ls bottom end 4 boost

i am planning on boosting a ls motor that will be goin into my 4th gen hatch. i was told to buy new rods. i plan on a set of golden eagle h beams (Cheap and quality from what i can see) if you have any other suggestions feel free

my questions is wich pistons or will stock work?
i want to try go to like 18-24 pounds

also what is safe on stock internals with proper fuel managment?

pushing 18-24 psi, you will need to get some good stuff for inside that motor, or it'll go BOOM

yea stock sleeves really wont be able to handle the power that 20psi will produce. I would say stock sleeves relatively safe to 300whp which is usually lke what 12-15 psi of boost on a b18b. I mean it really does come down to the tuning. There are those who have gotten more out of the stock sleeves, but thats really just pushing it.

If I were you, I'd keep it stock get a good tune and shoot for 300whp. Put all the goodies, (forged pistons and rods) sleeves, guard, etc on the other block.

umm yeah they do. you can buy a set from camp1320.com go to catalog then engine then bottome end half way down the page golden eagle rods for like 319 shipped
any way the most boost you would run on a stock ls?
so the rod bolts need to be replaced?

Umm, no they don't. EAGLE makes H-beams (want my pics to prove it?). Golden Eagle does not.

BTW, The LS block holds 400+hp when the tuning is right. Don't buy into this bullshit about a PSI limit. There's members here with 28psi on 100% stiok bottom ends.

golden eagle does not make the h beam rods....EAGLE makes them. Its two different company's. BTW why is everyone saying he cant run 24psi if no one knows what turbo hes running? Hell he could mean on an 18g.....

I've seen people on this forum go over 400 hp on stock sleeves. Its all about tuning. It also depends on what turbo you use to figure how much you can boost. A big turbo with small boost can produce more HP than a small turbo on lots of boost. Its not the psi a block can't handle, its the amount of horsepower.
