WHAT EXACTLY DO I NEED?
I want to boost my 98 teg with a custom built turbo kit.I have found all that I need but am confused on one thing.I have,
TURBO,
INTERCOOLER,
DOWN PIPE,
BOV,
WASTEGATE,
CHARGE PIPES,
OIL FEED AND RETURN LINES,
EXHAUST MANIFOLD,
Here is the ? do I need a missing link and an FMU or can I by pass these items?I am not rich but I want to get the best performance possible on 10psi daily driven.

Re: (darkblue1998ls)
Yea if you wanna go the cheap way then get an fmu and missing link...IF u want it to run right and u want to be able to tune it forget that **** and get a obd1 conversion harness and get an obd1 ecu with uberdata or hondata..fmu will work but there is to tuneability...Also u need bigger injectors.

Re: WHAT EXACTLY DO I NEED? (NAisbest)
OBD-2 has limited tuning abilities. The only way to get good reliable power is to convert to obd1 and get a chipped ecu to run hondata-uberdata-crome-ect. My advice is to find a tuner near you and use the EMS that they prefer that way you will get the most out of your setup. contact j-k tuning for a cheap chipped ecu and check my sig for conversion harnesses.
ps dumptubes are for losers that dont want black **** all over their engine bay jk i have been meaning to make one for half a year haha
also make sure you upgrade the injectors and fuel pump and get a fuel pressure gauge as well as the other gauges you choose.

yeah, without wanting a good tune there is no point in spending all the money in nice parts. Convert to obd1 if you are not already there, then get it tuned with something that is free like Crome, or get a hondata unit which are nice and not that $$$

most importantly and some extra cash if it's your daily driver cause once you start working. you can't stop! hahahaha
but you need some fuel management. fmu won't last you on 10psi daily. i'm on fmu with 8psi. it looks like it somewhat leans out top end. be careful either convert to obd1 or get aem ems. but most importantly, find a tuner if you can't tune yourself. see what tunner prefers.
like everyone else said...fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge. colder plugs. vaccum lines. and missing link/check valves or 3 bar map. happy boosting
