lowering comp. affect idle?

Default lowering comp. affect idle?

i recently installed lower compression pistons, and when i went to start the car it would not idle. i have to keep my foot on the gas for it to stay running. any other idea what i could look for? thanks.

it should not affect idle like that, no.

have you double checked your cam/crank timing?

ignition timing too can affect the idle... advancing timing will usually slightly raise the idle retarding will drop the idle...
