Well, thats one of the problems contributing to you spinning through you primary gears.

6 puck are harsh engagment clutches that shock the driveline, causing you to spin.
I would use a full face clutch of course with a ideal pressure plate.
Don't understand enough look at this : http://www.daliracing.com/v666...D=458

Cant help with the final drive, besides suggesting you give GearSpeed a call:

Maybe in the meantime you should work on the suspension a little. Help with
the weight transfer.

If you could post your dyno I could figure out ur optimal shift points for u. (unless you already know how to do that)
So you already have a hydro LS tranny? w/ the 4.26 final drive? or do you have the cable w/ the 4.40 fd? If you're maxing out the 4.26 you must be going about 115mph in the 1/4.
And you are completely against going to a larger tire? If you could go 1" taller on the tire and 4-500rpm higher in the rev's you'd get an extra 10mph out of the car in the 1/4.

I can spin 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd. I think those gears account for more than 5% of the 1/4.

Why not attack the problem directly and get more traction(slicks/drag radials, something) instead of lowering your drivewheel torque?

What is so different about me getting larger slicks and lowering my diff? The end result in the same. Lowering the gear ratio should help my 60ft out too.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Putting in a lower FD is much more of a pain in the *** than bolting up some larger tires that also give you MORE TRACTION.
