loosing coolant, searched.
Engine is a forged B16 stock bore, 3 layer headgasket and the block and head were both checked by the machine shop and are good. I have no visible water leaks, no oil in the coolant or vice versa, no hydrocarbons in the water either so the HG is good. It is dissappearing at a rather impressive rate though like 100 miles and I will look into the radiator and its down to where you can't see the water anymore.
I completely drained the system last night, changed the Tstat since I was in there already and then used some bars stop leak and water, ran the car until I had all the air out and then took it out for a good amount of fairly spirited driving.
Let the car cool back down and I only lost about and inch out of the cap so it's slowing down but still going somewhere. What do you guys think I should try next? Drain and flush one more time and use the copper bars sealant or what? I hate leaks that are un locatable. Thanks for any help.

Re: (lucidvtec)
Goto your local parts place and get a cooling system pressure tester. Use it to pressurize the system and you should be able to visibly see leaks or hear them. Give it a shot, couldn't hurt any.

sleeves are stock, no HC in the rad so I dont think HG or cracked sleeve, Cap could be the prob but today after another 100miles or so, I was barely missing any coolant so maybe the chincy crap I put in the rad is doing its job.
Sorry for th crappy typing, just got out of ER, had a mishap with a compressor and a suspensin and have onne working hand and a lot of owie lol, I cant type like this for ****. I will try the pressure tester tomorrow if I can make myself get out of bed

It's interesting to see others are having the same type problem. Mine is doing the same....not as fast as yours and I have ERL sleeves. I'm not trying to jack your thread though, I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone.
Is your radiator new or old?

Re: (Dunc)
do you still have the tube that goes to the bottom of the overflow tank? i dont know how mine was missing but the radiator would warm up and a little fluid would go to the tank, and when it cooled down it wouldnt suck water back into it. so after a few drives the radiator would start to get low and the engine would start to overheat. live and learn.
