Default Looking at this turbo kit what do you guys think?

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...482812421.html

Not much to say, its for a stock 98 Cx Hatch, may be building the bottom end later on or if I run into some money before I get to putting this thing on then i'll build the bottom with the kit. You guys see any problems with this?

Not looking for crazy power, I am pretty sure I will be more than happy with 200Whp(more you get more you want), may take it to the strip but more interested in taking it to the track.

Also im probably going to get a Y8 intake manifold and Maybe Maybe do a mini-me but the main reason I am going turbo is because I dont want to **** with my wiring.

I was hoping to go H22 but who am I kidding, im broke and young I want a turbo

Anyone running this turbo? How does it spool with a D16 does will it hold power to redline

anyone else got a better deal?

piece a kit together. That's way too much for what you'd get. You can find a decent T3 for fairly cheap, ebay manifold, intercooler, bov, wastegate, piping... DSM 450s, tune on crome...

I'm taking the uber cheap approach, only buying stuff I get really good deals on. So far I have a real nice turbo, 880cc injectors, chipped my P72, got a BOV, wastegate, got a Ostrich and have under 400 in it so far and just need an intercooler, manifold, intercooler piping and the metal for the downpipe. That will be under 300 or around 600 depending if I go eBay on the intercooler or not.

Its not that easy for me because I live in canada, ***** more expensive up here, im broke and a student so pretty much broke, I think this is good for me. And I dont think I would be able to find any ball berring turbo for so cheap. and alll i need is IC piping, BOV and a tune. My question was more like is this good for my civic, not to worried about hassel and saving a few hundred bucks on something that I dont think will work as well

Unless you guys really think I can get something better... tried looking on foroums found some dope ****.

Also, I dont really understand all the inner workings of a turbo like a.r rations and trims, what is shaft play? Like I understnad shaft between exhaust side and compressor side but what does it affect? How much is alot? How bad is it if there is a litte but of shaft play.... rebuild it or just run it A-Ok

Yeah, I wouldn't do that deal. You still have to get all the water lines and appropriate fittings for that turbo, making your cheap find very expensive. I'd piece one together even w/ used parts from the Hondamarketplace before I do any craigslist ads. Yikes for that one.

You can piece something together cheaper. A T28 is pretty small, and if it needs rebuilt, you're looking at a whole new CHRA. That's not cheap. An FMU isn't the best way to deal with engine management. Oil coolers are cheap on eBay.

Would something like this http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...481460941.html just bolt onto a normal Manifold?
