Looking to have some fun.. Stock LS head
I have a water meth kit ready to be installed and I'm going in for a new tune.
I am running a precision 6031. I understand this turbo does not flow as good as a garrett 60 trim. I am looking to push as much boost as possible out of this turbo. Is ~27 28 psi unrealistic, or is it possible? I plan to run 50/50 water/meth. I want to break any stock head record if one exists. I have the option to pick up a brand new garrett t67 for 650$ if the turbo cannot push the boost/power I'm looking for. Yes I know the spool takes forever, but I honestly don't mind. I have another freshly built block so I'm looking to have some fun with this motor. I don't care if I blow it up, but I rather not if I'm able to. I'd like to see what its limits are safely. I'm guessing the more boost I shove in it, I will get less whp per a lb of boost, right? I'm guessing once the power gain is significantly lower, its time to stop?
I may be picking up a set of brian crower springs/retainers locally for $150, and if I do, I will be buying cams too.
Any info would be great.
