does anyone really have success with these? i've tuned 2 cars with setups like this and when you cool the charge like that, it goes real lean and the engine just stuttered.

I've been looking into this, and in order to get a streetable setup it seems like you would need at least a 10lb bottle, if not more... just doesn't seem worth it in the end.

hey Gruvy have you thought about utilizing the nitrous control function that hondata just released to fatten the map when the spray is activated. I know it was designed for the nitrous through the motor but it seems like it would work the same. and you would be able to set when it comes on, speed, rpm etc..

just a thought. seems like it would work great and last a long time if used conservatively. Instead of putting the IC sprayer on a switch just let the hondata control it, and give correct fuel at the same time!

its a nice thought but its so unpredictable i would think. i mean, when that stuff sprayed, the engine really crapped out. it was hard to even see the air/fuel to know what was going on. i know others who have seen this before too.

Where is the intake air temp sensor located?

Your air/water I/C should have a heat exchanger/radiator, a resevior, pump, lines ect.... I would venture a guess that the 8"x4" sprayer would be a nice fit for a small "radiator" used in the air/water I/C setups. Most people that run A/W/I/C's go to the track and dump ice into their resevior to reaaaaaaly cool down the intake temps. However that is only good for one or 2 runs/races. Now, if you take the N2O, N2, or CO2 sprayer and bolt it onto the radiator/heat exchanger for your A/WI/C setup you'll be able to super cool down the water supply at any time.

Just food for thought........it's a complicated setup but at least it's a bit different.

Myself i'm installing a water/alky injection setup to combat high intake temps and detonation with lots of boost(20+psi). Also you can run lots of boost on pump gas...but thats another topic all together.

didn't Ford make this kind of set on one of their big *** trucks. I think you were able to syphon cooled air from the air con directly into the intake for a short given amount of time.

They have the co2 kit that sprays the intercoler, cools the fuel and also injects co2 into the engine. That sounds to me like it would do some serious cooling.

Give me a big if I am wrong.

P.S- on the air-water intercooler, I've heard of using alchol and other stuff to help cool as well. Insteed of using strait water or ice.
