I used C02 fire extinguisher, local company sell off out of date certified units, re-fill is very cheap.
I blast the IC just prior to my run, intake temperature drops very quickly, you will need a friend to spray though.
It’s cheaper than the kits but just as effective, keep it away form the intake.
Used it on 2 race days this year when temps were 30+, I now run NOS, perge during burn out gets things cool pre-launch.

just make sure the co2 spray bar dosnt spray anywhere near your intake, co2 IN your engine is a BAD thing, co2 displaces oxygen and last i checked oxygen is what makes you go fast

oh, and i have NEVER seen ANY gains by using anything that sprays on the intercooler

well, its not going to be near my intake becuase its... a spray bar, its an oval that connects to the front of your intercooler and sprays co2 to decrease temperature

There was a intercooler spray bar test done by honda-tuning on a 700whp+ h22 turbo drag civic. They gained like 50whp after spraying down the intercooler and getting those iat's down.

dur, i know its a spray bar... read what i said... the spray will go through the intercooler and get sucked up into the intake, you know the part before the turbo that usually has a filter attached to it. especially if you have the filter right on the turbo. unless you have a shitty i/c setup the ONLY gains from the nitrous spray bars are from the engine sucking up nitrous

Can you elaborate on this since it seems that all the products being sold to lower IAT's by spraying on the FMIC's seem to be said to "NOT" do this.

Hell, they are "selling" to "us" but it just seems crazy that they don't do anything more then move the source of injection to the front of the intercooler and make us all think they are doing something they actually are not......

its not their intentions for the intake to suck up the nitrous, just the turbo placement in hondas with the turbo right behind the IC makes this happen. the kits DO lower the surface temp of the i/c, but when i isolate the intake from the residual "cloud" of nitrous the gains disapear.

when you spray the nitrous/co2 onto the intercooler some of it goes though the ic and will form a cloud right behind it, most of the time you can actually see the cloud flow into the turbo. if you use co2 the engine will usually break up and loose a bunch of power b/c the co2 cloud displaces o2 around the intake

oaky that helps a little more haha
i guess from hearing that most / if any gains will be to spray it down while not driving to just lower the temperature

Thank you very much. That definitely clearly explains it.
