lil weekend project dyno! 9 psi
list of mods - 9:1 je pistons, eagle rods, 97 itr head with b16a cams , crap mild steel manifold , open dp, tial 38mm wg, 2 inch intercooler piping before IC 2.75 after , core size 22inch tall 2.5 inch thick 38inch wide (lots of bumper mods)dont know who made it looks homemade everything built in less than 24 hours just some **** we through together to put in a friends 92 hb oh yah the turbo is a garret t3t4 .60 .63 witha stage 3 compressor wheel made full boost by 3200 pulls hard all the way to 8500rpm i say its the cams

i would post pics of the setup but the guy i built it for after i got it all done ditched out on me the money he owes me but just thought id share the dyno , it was tuned with uberdata < curious to why you would say it looks like it needs tunning though?

add more timing from 4000-5000rpm in the low cam. monitor knock via some knock detecting device(at minimal have someone sitting with their ear over the engine and have them hear knock) when audible knock comes, retard the timing back 1.5-2*. then graph your low cam only(vtec disabled) and then graph when you set vtec at 3000rpm. the place it intersects is your new vtec point
In short, your midrange sucks becuase your vtec engagement is high and your low cam doesnt have enough timing.

How do you figure that the smallest B-series VTEC cams made the car pull to 8500? It would have pulled harder and longer with GSR or ITR cams.

dr charles and i agreed that b16a cams are the best for turbo setups cus of the low over lap and i think since lisa kubo ran 9s with em i think it will work just fine

id love to make some more tunning efforts but thats all the time we had and all the customer wanted and yes we had a better low end map but we lost the map with alot of tunning and had to have a new map made in a short time , also the costomer jacked me for alot of money and work so i will no longer see what it would of made oh well ill bring somthing else to the table when i get er done
