sometimes when its hot and i run car i see a small amount of smoke coming from the breather on the valve cover and also from the pcv valve (which i vent into atmosphere) .. is a lil normal or no? i did a comp test and it was 160-170 across all cyl.. i can smell the fumes from it sometimes

160-170 is kinda low. Whats your compression? Built motor or stock? Sounds like your getting some blow-by. Run a line from your pcv and valve cover to a coke bottle or something simple to catch any oil.

It's normal to have a little blowby coming out the breather on a boosted Honda. Your compression does sound low though.

an LS motor? 160-170 is fine...that's what mine ran and it never budged lower for 2 years. Gauges can be a little off too.

Do that and see if you have excess blow-by
