Default lifespan of a F/I engine

hi,

im in the process of building a b16 turbo engine, just wondering what the average lifespan of an engine is running approx. 15 psi on t3/t4

basic spec:
81.5 dart sleeved
je pistons
eagle rods
acl bearings
ARP studs
b16b cylinder head cams inlet

so how many miles of quite harsh driving befor it will develop issues- start smoking etc...and bearing in mind it is mapped well.

Dave

Give this a read, Its based for an H22 but i would say 90% applies to your b16 as well.

11,683.45 miles.

too many variables.

piston to wall
ring gap
main and rod bearing clearance
proper assembly procedure
proper tuning
maintenance

That's a ton of boost for not much power. You sure it's not a D16A1?

i'm running:

b18c1
je pistons 9.5:1
eagle rods
stock sleeves and head
arp head studs
garrett t3/t4

makes 285whp/210wtq at 10.5 psi, no boost controller. it's my daily driver, has been for 1.5 years...there's probably 45-50k on the motor since the rebuild, 30k of those miles i put on myself. the seals are going on the turbo now...but the motor is still running strong.

The turbo is an 18g that I had four 7 years. I purchased it in 2001 as a Greddy kit. It has made over 360 at 20 psi. THe turbo is bad and blows oil. The point of the dyno run. A t67 will be installed on monday.

I drive about 350 -450 miles a week. I have a diesel dually but diesel is to much money. $150 to fill the dually and 40 to fill the Honda a week.
