Lifespan of a Bosch WB O2 sensor being used full time?
Hi guys,
I was just wondering how long or how many miles a Bosch WB sensor would last if I was to run it full time on a turbo DD. And also for comparison how long would a normal O2 sensor last?
I'm trying to decide if I want to run my WB setup full time, or if I should just use it when I tune the car.
TIA

id say anywhere from a month to about 10years or so.
Seriously though. Its an Oxegen sensor. It should last as long as any other sensor unless you are running seriously rich and race fuel ALL the time.

Yah that's what I figured. I always see people saying that they are expensive to replace. But I see that they are only priced at about $59 each. So then I started thinking that people might be saying that they are expensive because they have to replace them more often.

Sweet!!! thanks dude. The Zeitronix uses the Bosch LSU...I tried looking for a part number, but couldn't find one.
Over the weekend I bought a bunch of soldering equipment. And I still have a spare ECU chipping kit that I may not end up using. If you ever want to be a guinea pig for my first ECU to be soldered let me know. hehehe
Seriously though, I have a spare UBER1 kit that I bought from moates, if you want it I can sell it to you. I was gonna use it to chip my P72, but I think I'll just add in two more capacitors to my Kenji chipped ECU and use that for my turbo project. I also have two Nokia data cables which I'm gonna wire in to my ECU for datalogging. And also my laptop has been uberdata ready and the burner has been installed and tested. I'm still running the Kenji chipped P28, but the chip inside it is one that I burned myself.
Just let me know if you need help burning chips or whatever. And we can do an AIM convo or something.

VW part #021-906-262-B = bosche 7057 that my tech edge o2 uses. Mine cost $38.29 plus shipping.

I also pay $38 at my local vw dealer. No shipping though

According to their site http://www.plxdevices.com the M250, 300 and 500 have Bosch sensors while the M200, and M400 have NTK sensors.

would the vw oxygen sensor be just plug it in and play with the plx m300? or you have to cut some wires and connect them?

Good question . I'm thinking some fab will have to be done though.
What model/year VW's do these come OE on?

if the PLX comes with the Bosch in its kits, the plug harness is plug and play.
I know that on my wideband, the LM-1, innovate used the stock Bosch connectors so that there wouldnt be any wiring snafuus.
These came stock on the Turbo Beetles, i think 01-02 models.
I believe it says on the site I posted.
BTW, cost at a VW dealership for them is like $28...good thing my GF's dad is a parts manager - too bad its not at a Honda dealership though

On pump gas they'll last a long time, on race gas (leaded) expect about 50 hours or so.
