Oh yeah, upgrade the ignition and run stock spark gap. You'll see a more complete burn. You will have less knock, and can run more ignition advance for more HP. fwiw......
Stock honda ignition works perfect, no need for upgrade there at all.
i can name a couple of b-series making 450+whp with stock ignition( they never miss fire, never), they have no need for an ignition upgrade. I understand your point, there's just not any problems with the stock ignition.

Just because they are making that much HP doesnt mean that they couldnt make more with a stronger, longer duration spark. The more complete the spark, the less "unburnt crap" will be left over to burn in the exhuast (right before the turbo)
Lower EGT's, thus more ignition advance via the ol standalone until MBT is reached. Just because they are making that much HP doesnt mean there isnt room for improvement...... The stock Honda ignition wasnt designed to handle that much boost. If it were then our friend here with the LS would be running .40 or .60 or whatever stock gap is and not the little .2x he is now.....
