leaky turbocharger?? whats up with that??

leaky turbocharger?? whats up with that??
hey
what causes the turbocharger to be leaky as in leaking oil from the exhaust side and around the center of the charger?? i just had a my y7 turbo project complete over the weekend , ran and boosted for two days, but didn't boost it that hard
its a Dsm Garett T25, all sudden it start blow out smoke now from the muffler, engine bay smells like burning oil and its leaking a bit now...... i bought it used off ebay, and the guy who owned itsaid little to no shaft play, no bented or chipped fins, and he said he had for 70,000 miles and its good used conditon. so what does this means?? gotta buy a new one or rebuilt it??
also it was clocked when the turbo when it was being installed on my car, could clocking cause it to damage the turbo??
