Yes, thats a good idea, don't ever buy from KTeller again just because the DP didn't fit your specific setup.
I don't understand why people get all bent out of shape over this kind of problem when the site specifically states that there are factors that are beyond their control. You can't expect them to make every DP fit every car, its impossible. Maybe if your exhaust setup was different the DP would fit. Maybe their end of things isn't the problem.

whats the deal with these people?
I had a serious problem with my spoolin blox DP fitting, the wastegate would not line up stripped out the holes tying to make it fit, always had boost leak all the time had to pay 60 euros to get the holes redone because I could not get it right because of the material. then my wideband o2 sensor got destroyed on raceday by the intermediate shaft because the bung was welded right below it, I had to pay 145 euros for a new one because I could not wait for 3 week s to get one from the states, I was pissed, but I did not blame them, I blamed myself because I have my owm welder, and skills, but I was too lazy and had some money so I paid to get one made. a downpipe that cost me $300 ended up costing me an additional $300 for damages it caused.
now I did it again, I bought a complete manifold and DP kit from RLD fab hope I will have some good news for them, wish me luck on this one.

I can definitely tell a difference in top end since i put it on. I put my new clutch in yesterday and I can't wait to get it broke in so I can see what my car's workin' with now. Thanks for all the help guys.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Ok, all I can say is it should not hit the oil pan. But being able to bolt right up to everyones exhaust is never going to happen.

the greddy dp is a direct bolt-in for 92-00 civics with the complete 15g kit, it bolts right up to the stock cat. in this case, it's a 15g downpipe replacement, designed to fit like the greddy one does. nobody's saying anything about custom downpipes. i'd never expect anything custom to fit your existing setup. kteller does great work, it could be that this one was made a little off. i doubt EX-T would have ordered it is he knew it would take reworking. i'd take my car locally to get done and make sure it fits as it's getting built. i'm not hating on anyone here, i'm just saying i'd expect these dp's to fit better if they're billed as greddy replacements.

from their site:
"15g, 92-00 civic sohc
Downpipe is designed to fit and work with the Greddy Kits."

Im saying you're running into that situation becuase the set up the downpipe was tested and fitted for used a different exhaust manifold and turbo, thus making that slight detour in the angle it's pointing in. Hope it helps.

The flex pipe isn't that flexible either. I don't want to tighten the DP any tighter to the GReddy adapter block b/c I don't wanna strip out the studs.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Don't worry about the flex - its very stuff because it can take a rather heavy load. The one I got (ebay, cheap & kickass) didn't seem to move at all, but after I had a 3" resonator and 4 feet of 15ga 3" piping hanging from it, it was movable.

The gaskets there seem like good ones, with the inner ring of metal. As the the welds, they don't look that much better than the ones I made on my first tank of gas w/110v lincoln.

This is exactly what i faced with my STOCK greddy downpipe.

I bent and pushes and pulled as hard as i could, and this was the final result.

It rattled like hell and i got the downpipe remade the next day.

Like I said, I'll never buy another thing from KTeller because this downpipe was not what the side said it was.

The site says it's for a 92-00 SOHC GReddy 15g replacement downpipe.

I had to cut the downpipe right under the o2 bung and rotate it about 20 degrees and reweld it so it would line up to my exhaust properly.

I'll post some pix tomorrow of the finished product so everyone can see.

I had bad experiences with Kteller too. Not only did I get skimped on several parts I ordered, the cat that I had bungs welded into look like a blind drunk person welded them. One of the welds had to be shaved to get one of the bolts in. I am glad I didn't get something that required extensive welding like that downpipe.

Unless I have to do business with Kteller (cheaper flanges and gaskets), I will look elsewhere for my parts.
