I'm just thinking of cheap alternatives. Would i be able to use flex pipe for a downpipe? As long as there is no exhaust leak anywhere BEFORE the flex pipe right? Also, would i be able to JB weld the DP to the exhaust flange?

 

that probably won't work too well. you're gonna need a very long flex pipe to achieve that.

 

Will flex pipe work for a downpipe? If you mean that universal stuff that you can pick up in the exhaust section of the auto parts store, then yes.

However, that stuff cannot make a bend tight enough for a downpipe, so you will still need mandrel bends. Also, it will not support any load, so you will need to support it at bother ends.

Can you use JB weld in the exhaust? No. You need to weld.
