which kit to start off with?
I know this is a question that has been asked time and time again, but with new kits coming out im not too sure anymore. i have about 10 months+ before i can start the project so im doing research now.
if your lazy cliff notes are at the bottom...
-CAR 92+ hatch Gutted, 1 seat just to give you an idea.
-Motor B 16 or 18 i haven't decided yet because i know the 16 can make enough power
to keep me happy.
as of now im not too sure how much im going to build the motor but i want to make
300whp or so to start off with. if i end up going higher then ill need to build it up more.
the car will be a weekend toy but i want it to be street legal.
300 isn't an impossible number by any means and i know can be reached relatively easy. how much hp can i run on a stock B16 with maby a thicker metal head gasket and not blow it after 100miles? most of the kits i find offer something around 250, but what if i decide i want to push a little higher and go 350 or so? is there a kit out there that has a little head room? i know that's a lot to ask but im talking change a few cheep parts like the turbine wheel and run a few pounds higher. i hope this all make sense

-looking to make 300whp on a B16 how much engine building will i need to do if
any?
-what turbo kits are out there that will get me in that range?
thanks,
