K03 info
VW guys like them, and many others do, but HT seems to have a problem with the K03. Im looking at one for $145 shipped including IC and oil lines top slap on my d15b7 for a fun car. What can yall tell me? I think the stock wg is set at 4.5psi, which will be fine for dd but what if I want to up it, anyone know the limits of the k03? Thanks for the help.

Re: K03 info (RJwaggs)
This is the stock vw turbo right? It is way to small. I have a t25 on my d16, and that is the smallest I would ever wanna go. The wastegate is set at 8psi which is fine. You could make 160whp or more with a good tune and it will be very reliable. Plus I got the t25 and dsm o2 housing for $100. No shaft play!

That turbo is pretty much maxed out at 5-6psi on a honda motor. Its just too small for our healthy breathing engines. Unless you're trying to build a 2000rpm torque monster honda motor..id look elsewhere.

Wondering, how is it that vw guys are dynoing 250whp with these stock turbos? Maybe theyre the k03 sport. If someone can point me in a direction where I can get a t25 or similar turbo that will produce little to no lag and can be had for around $100 including oil lines and IC, please do so. I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, I was thinking, since they are so small, I could run two fo them, that would be about 10psi with massive torque. Im just all sorts of confused, all sorts of people are tellin me they would be good for what I am looking for and then there are others like yall saying opposite. :S

Re: (RJwaggs)
Ok it would be dumb to use two of them. It sounds like you are new to turbo's and you need to do a bunch of research before you do anything else.
