Default Just a note for blockguard users/installers.

Ok, I don't want to hear any comments on weather it is a good idea to use a blockguard or not. I made my mind to use one and I'll leave it at that

Anyway, I just received my Race Engineering blockguard the other day and noticed a change in the installation instructions. They initially read that the BG should be installed flush with the block surface, as most of us are used to seeing. Well, that statement was physically crossed out and changed to "install the blockguard 1/4"-1/2" below deck". Just found that interesting. Also, the R-E BG now has more coolant holes drilled into it. It now has clusters of 4 holes surrounding each cylinder instead of the previously pictured 2.

I have seen quite a few of these and notice large production changes from shipment to shipment and must assume that water jackets are done on a drill press and no CNC involved as sometimes there are 1,2,3 or 4 holes, not very symmetrical, you should not force a block guard and I must say that the new instructions will only cause bigger problems like core shift if pressed in 1/2"!!!
