Default Just installed injectors and we have a problem...

I Installed new "DSM 450" Injectors tonight and We Installed the resistor box but we have a couple problems...
To Start it all from the beginning I ordered 4 dsm 450's off of RSX8600 or something like that from Honda-tech. I received them and found that most of the spintle caps were all broken but i searched and found out that they are still usable. So tonight we wire in the resistor box and did a nice lil job of making sure they were in but When installing I noticed a couple odd things. When I was putting the O ring seals on the injectors I found them to be a perfect fit in which was weird because i always hear that you hafta dremmel them down in order for 450's to fit. So then I Set up my VAFC for -40 Across the board and do a start up and i find my car to be idling like a pig, it would barely do much. So then I set it to -10 across and it seems to run perfect. I just have an air/fuel gauge right now because my wideband is still in shipping. The air/fuel gauge is just 1 bar in the rich side and the car feels pretty decent. But the point is that is there something wrong with the injectors because I should be taking more fuel away from them then just -10...

Thanx for reading that and If u have any other questions I will try to get u the answers ASAP

here is a pic of the injectors if you want to see them...

I'm not sure if those are 450's. Do a search here and find some pics to compare. It should say on the side of the injector '450' if they truly are.

those don't look anything like my dsm 450's...they may just be from a different year though. Mine are blue on the top and say 450 on the side.

Those really look like stock! Hmmm...what gives away the DSM's are the bottom injector nozzle. It looks nothing like the one in the picture. Can you pull any numbers off the injectors anywhere? Maybe someone can help with that

BTW I had to grind my seals as well so that could be a giveaway too

my dsm 450 inj fit with no grinding at all. It was a very tight fit, but it worked with no modifying at all to the seals. Are you sure you have your settings right on the afc? When you go into the sensor type settings, you can set the type of map sensor in so many different ways. One number off can make it run way righ or way lean. I don't know about the vafc but my afc2 has these settings

I have second gen injectors (non blue tops) and they don't look like that at all. Looks like you got some stockers or something of the sort.

i have the black tops DSM 450's, and the caps on the bottom were green. also, this is my in my accord, but they fit without any mods with the exception that it was a really tight fit, had to use dish soap to get em in.

I almost bought those of of him! I'm glad I didn't. There have been many "FS" threads in the FI classifieds lately w/ both gens of DSM injetcors. Should be very easy to pick up a set $50-$75.
