Default dsm injectors

Ok i recently installed a set of dsm 450's and was told they worked fine.

now after installing they do not seem to be opening, I do have a resistor box hooked up to them and also have a electric fuel pressure gauge.

the gauge is reading 100psi which is way to high, does this mean the injectors are bad or do I not have enought resistance to them.

If someone knows how to test whether they are opening correctly , please post it
thanks

Oh and it is on a 91 crx dx w/ dpfi to mpfi conversion...

How is the fuel pressure gauge hooked up? That should be reading the psi of the fuel in the rail... it has nothing to really do with the injectors.

Last time I saw 100psi... I had a crush washer jammed into the fuel dampener/cap on the filter side of the rail.

Do you have any kind of fuel management to control the injectors?

^ thats what I was going to say... if you dont have a chipped ecu that can handle the 450's you got on there... its going to make your car run like ****... im even suprised that your car is idling if you dont have a chipped ecu... later Mike

I am running a stewart warner fuel pressure regulator, and a vafc with cartech fmu.. I had 310cc injectors and it ran perfect even at idle..

and the fp guage is hooked up fine.. I have had it for a little over a year.

I am not looking for criticism only for help.

I am looking for info in the form of trouble shooting step like from a Honda ETM.

If this helps to clarify the type of info, and yes I realize that honda never planned on running 450cc injectors, but my question is should the trouble shooting be the same for the dsm injectors as stock obd-0 injectors?

Or should I just order another set of rc injectors?

Well there is an issue also... you NEED management with 450s. You are currently flooding your engine with fuel. 310s you might have been able to correct some.... but 450s... uh uh.

I'm not criticising btw... its just that 100psi at idle isn't injector related. Its a blockage somewhere/somehow or the guage is bad, or the fpr is bad.

Otherwise... GET some management and adjust for those injectors. 450s won't run without at LEAST a vafc hack... icky as it is... i'd suggest a chipped ecu and a tune.
