just got the car back from the dyno.. running a stock 1st gen b16 bottom end the car made 314 hp, 11.8~11.9 a/f ratio's, 10-11psi, 26 degrees of timing on 93 octane. the car was not running the z10 oil system.

well... the other engine... i beat on it with no tune... had it turning 12,000 rpm, pushing around 22psi. the thing was fast as *****. the piston ring lands got "squished" and they were tight against the rings, so the rings were not seating/ sealing.. the block is at the machine shop right now, im putting some pistons in it that i had laying around and than im gonna really turn up the boost.

Re: just got back from the dyno. (Dturbocivic)
Make sure they loosen up the Piston-Wall Clearance if your seriously gonna be turning that rpm...the heat makes the pistons expand alot.
12krpm is out of control tho...prolly only makes power to 9.

"minor" correction.
the turbo is a turbonetics turbo, ball bearing t66 P trim and i swaped the exhauzt housing from the one that came with the turbo., i belive the compressor side is a 58 a/r and the exhuast side has a .81 a/r housing on it right now.

yea, i hear that, im gonna lean on it, until the car stops making power. so im sure i wont be turning 12k

i was thinking the same thing about that, if i back the timing off, wont the car run even richer than it is alreay running up top? help me out here, im just getting into this speed-pro/fast

Not really. I would leave the AF (or keep it around there (~12). Try turning the timing down. This will allow the motor to last longer. Maybe around 21 around 12 psi. Doesn't matter what EMS this is what I would do with any of them.

No just giving it more timing or less timing doesn't affect A/F.

Re: just got back from the dyno. (ladysman)
Changing Timing only change AFR when yu make drastic timing changes.
Normally if you retard the **** out of the timing...youll have fuel burning in the turbine housing\downpipe...Distorts your AFR Reading.
