i just did a comp. test yesterday and it read 208 across the board. what does that mean my compression is? somewhere around 10:1 maybe?

 

I dont think you can tell the compression ratio basing on the compression of your cylinder, i could be wrong tho...

 

i say as long its all good across the board its ok. i have a b16 and it read about 207 so it should be ok

You can find the actual compression ratio by doing a compression check...forgot the conversions though.

 

depending on the gauge, my gauge will read 200-210 or so for 9:1.


your compression is most likely 9:1

 

mase, whats 225-230 on a 1.8 gsr equal compression wise?

it really depends on the type of compression gauge. but if a car read around 230 on my gauge, it woudl be close to 10:1

 

on two different gauges, craftsman and then snap on. thanks tho.
