Just bought a turbo...question.
Hey guys, I just bought a used turbo in good shape for a good price. The only problem is it's the small t3 (.48 A/R on exhaust side, .42 on compressor side). My question is, it seems the status quo for most daily driven cars is around 7psi. I know the drag kits come with t3/t4s so does that mean since i'm running a much smaller turbo, I can run a bit more boost on my stock gsr motor? I got tired of waiting to find a great deal on a good sized t3 or hybrid so I just took this one while I could. Again, my question is can I run higher boost to make up the difference in turbo size? I will be running the vafc hack + dsm injectors and dont know if the -35% low -40% across setting will be too rich for this little turbo at only 7psi. Any info would be great, thanks!
OK, so does that mean that 7psi from a smaller turbo will produce the same hp numbers as 7psi from a larger turbo? Thanks for the response btw.

be carefull setting boost levels others are running with bigger AR's, even at 7PSI you will be pushing that turbo at the higher end of the efficiency map, the charge temperature will be higher and you will have more chances of detonation.

well i suppose if worse comes to worse I can use that one until I can find one I *really* want
