Ok I just got done with my setup on my prelude. And when starting it, i get get a solid CEL, which means a bad ECU (but can it start with a bad ecu?), and While I was letting the wideband warm up, the oil pressure was around 80psi at idel, and then about when the wb was warmed, the oil press dropped to 25-45psi and was just jumping back and forth rapidly, and the idel started bouncing too, so I dont know the cause, and my AFR was 12:1 at idel, and i reved it up a bit, and it reved really slow, it backfired around 3k, so any help would be great, and I am going to got look at thing right now. but I will put my setup below to give you some more info (at lest the things that matter), thanks guys.

I am using Uberdata 1.66, but the thing is, this is my first time ever using it, and I don't know whats up, what do you guys think about the oil press, what should I be careful of not going below?
its doing all of this because of your ecu. Don't try running your car if it throws a solid cel before you even turn it on. It means your ecu is messed up. Who chipped you ecu? Did you put the chip in backwards? Did you forget to uncheck something when making the maps?

It is actually a Hondata P72, so I am sure that it is socketed right and has the right resistors, etc. and I just made a basemap and burnt it to a chip and put it in the right way, so Im not sure what the prob is with the ecu.

I was under the impression if you were using Hondata, you had to use the Hondata software. I could be wrong, I'm more a engine builder than EFI tuneer
As for the oil pressure, cold start oil pressure is usually around the 70-90psi range. Once its warms up it should level out around 20psi +-5psi. If your idel is jumping around, so will the oil pressure.........oil pump driven off crank. Your pressure fluxuations are not the cause of your bad idel. Your base map and/or ecu is.

Since your motor is all Sotck, why not put the stock injectors and ecu in to start the car and make sure everything is fine. If all's good, then put the injectors back in and take some time to get a good base map going and work you ecu programing out.

Well the ecu was chipped and socketed by hondata, because the guy i got it from was running hondata, but without the controll box, it is just a socketed ecu, and the uberdata guys said that it should work, so i am gonna take their word, but I am going to see if somebody can take a look at the ecu, and my basemap, so I can figure this out, because all of the fuel/ign maps are new to me, and hopfully it is something really simple, hopfully.
get a known working chip, and install that. turn key to run (don't start car, see if you get a solid cel). I would guess your chips is fucked up sense your new to uberdata. try an egay chip or something that is known to be good,
Which Hondata is it. I have a 4b (ie rewritable) and I have to have the laptop link box hooked up to the ecu. One day I forgot to hook it back up after working on the car, and the engine light was on, the car kept over heating, and it was in limp mode (cut at 4000 rpm). Hooked the box back up and all the problems went away.

hey Jeremy, would you take a look at this pic, and see if you can tell if there are any problems with the resistors or anything, because i can't see anything out of the ordinary, also I have a blue zif zocket that isnt in the pic (these are a few days old), and also, is the chip facing the right way?
, thanks

Ok, I just went out and threw in the "jun" chip, and when I turned the ignition on, the CEL came on for a sec, than went away, just like normal, so I am guessing, that it HAS to be something to do with the chip either being programed bad or something, so I am going to try and burn one that works, but still throw out Ideas if you have them, thanks.

Well after burning numerous chips, nothing will worked, but i know that it has to be something wrong with the burning process, so I am going to try to find some troubleshooting for burning, and maybe it will work.
make sure the cord you are using from your burner to your pc is the right kind, i had a problem with that once. have you tried reading the chip and verifying hte material in it is the same as the program you are writing?
