junkyard turbo?
i was crusin through the local junkyards last weekend and i got to thinking about makeing a turbo kit for my car. (99 civic ex) i was wondering what kind of car i should get my turbo off of and what other parts i would need to gather from other cars/buy off of someone to complete the setup? thanks

Probably the most common is getting a mitsu turbo and using a HF mani. I used a kit like that about 2 years ago...But do some research.Also check for play in the turbo before purchasing

Just need to check them out before you buy them.. The turbo that I got from there was perfect and still works great to this day..

ya i am leaning towards the t-bird t3 but i am also wondering what brand manifold should i buy if i get the t3 out of the t-bird and what ic and should i get a muffler shop to bend me pipe for the ic? any opions/coments would be appresheated

i got a saab t3 but you got to be careful because saab also uses a t 25 also dont let a mechanic bend your intercooler piping it will look like crap go to ebay and type in mandrel bend or intercooler piping and pay the money

I love the used junkyard ****, but I always figure the mandatory $75 bearing kit into *any* used turbo I purchase.

aight guys i purchasd a t3 turbo off of a saab no shaft play the car only had about 50000 miles i think the waste gate is already on the turbo so i would need a manifold without the wastegate flange right?
