Default JSRC 6psi?

How would I go bout changing the boost...on my JSRC. I feel really dumb for asking but does it concern with messing with the timng controll and map sensor??

you'll have to chage one of your pullies. there are a few options. search for "stepper pulley." also john at LHT (crvrx is his h-t name) has a new upgrade kit out that has benefits, search for his post as well. keep in mind you'll have to add fuel when you up the boost.

If the Supercharger is already installed, then a larger crank pulley will net more boost and is the easiest to install. The next step would be an alternator stepper pulley (also larger diameter)as already mentioned, unless this is a Prelude which your SN aludes to since it has a Serpentine belt. Your final option is to change the blower nose pulley, with is always the last and most dificult change. The problem with the blower pulley change is that it will be a smaller pulley for more boost, which has the potential for more belt slippage since there is less surface area.

Hope this helps, and if you increase the boost make sure you have a good way to manage the fuel and timing. I recommend Hondata.

I assume from your screen name that you own a JRSC lude. The best option to bump your boost up to 9 psi would be a larger passenger jackshaft pulley from Jim Helbing at Motorvations Motorsports, (205) 661-3600. Increasing the boost up to 9 psi on the lude JRSC behooves you to install 440 or 550 cc injectors, junk the JR "ems" and FMU, and run standalone engine management. Any boost level higher than 9 psi on the lude JRSC is just impractical.
