1) the exhaust does not effect the air fuel ratio
2) there is an intercooler style intake manifold available from LHT
3) No, it will not hurt the car going into vtec but my personal preference is not to go outside of 15 degrees in either direction when changing the operating temp of the car. 170 degree thermostat from Gates or Stant will work just fine.

1 Catalytic won't change your AFR if they are read before the cat, don't forget that the car need to be tuned, don't trust the fooling relay provided in the kit
2 LHT performance is the way to go a bit expensive but very efficient also only for B series
3 i used to have the 160° thermostat and it works great but IMO i would go for the Mugen one because it has identical shape as OEM the JR is different
