Default JRSC LHT intercooler and FREON

Has anybody run a LHT intercooler with freon in the heat exchanger?

LHT's website says you can.

Is this possible?

Anybody with first hand experience?

What are the challenges?

Thanks

You would need to complete the refrigeration cycle with a condenser, compressor and expansion valve plus other ****. For a short period of time (race track) you could probably try running crushed dry ice in the resevior with a screen to keep it out of the pump and circulate rubbing alchohol if the pump and line can tolerate it. Temps of the alchy should be negative 40 degrees or so.

I am not familier with the LHT unit but I have seen people use the stock ac to cool the intercooler. One was a Pantera that had no place for a air/air intercooler. He set the engine management system to shut off the ac at 85* tps.
